Mrs. Sarah Pratt Moore, age 86, of Covington passed away Thursday, February. 13, 2020.
She was born in Macon, Georgia on February 21, 1933. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard N. Moore, Jr. Sarah was the daughter of Parks Winfield and Emma Thomson Pratt who have preceded her in death.
Mrs. Moore was a graduate of the University of Georgia where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. Mrs. Moore was an elementary school teacher after graduating, before becoming a wonderful homemaker and mother. She was Methodist by faith. For many years she worked at the Walls Book Store in Covington. She was an avid reader, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking, fishing, and loved to play bridge. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Along with her parents Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her brothers, William Albert Pratt, James Donald Pratt, Parks Winfield Pratt, Jr., and sisters, Joyce Pratt Hopkins, Doris Pratt Kirkland, and Anne Pratt Poss. She is survived by her brother, Hugh Kenneth Pratt, of Evans Georgia, her sons Willard N. “Bill” Moore, III and wife Cristi, of Lakeland, Florida, Robert T.“Bob” Moore and wife Mylin, of Deerfield Beach, Florida, and James G. “Jim” Moore of Sautee, GA, her grandchildren Greg Sullivent, Pamela Brown, Lindsay Moore, Logan Moore, Nicole Moore, and Bobby Moore along with many nieces, nephews, other family and close friends.
Graveside services for Mrs. Moore will be held Sunday, February 16, 2020 at 2:00 PM, at Covington City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make donations to, Amity Hospice, 161 Village Parkway, Building 7, Marietta, GA 30067, American Heart Association, www.heart.org or the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org. The family has selected J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home to assist them with the arrangements.
