Rebecca “Ann” Reid, 69, of Covington, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014, at her home. She was born May 4, 1945, in Porterdale to the late Clarence and Allie Durden. Mrs. Reid was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to all. But most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a long time member of Grace Baptist Church. Mrs. Reid is preceded in death by siblings Pauline Dial, Frances Sockwell and William “Bill” Durden.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Billy Reid of Covington; daughters Rhonda Reid and Becky Reid and son Kenneth Reid; brother and sister-in-law Leroy and Bennie Durden; sister Clara Roberts; special friends Patty Harmon and Donita Martin; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Bone officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park immediately following the service. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014, from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
