Obituary        

 

Mrs. Phyllis Elaine Scofield Austin was  born March 18,1956 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Willie Tom (Fannie Mae) Scofield in Newton County, Georgia.

      Phyllis was an active member of Good Hope Baptist Church. She was a member of the Mass Choir and served on the Mother Board. She was a dedicated volunteer for The Angel Food Ministries and Ladybugs, Inc. She enjoyed singing, landscaping, painting, sewing and interior design. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, friend and confidant to many and she will be sincerely missed.

     She was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Donrico Martice Roberts, a sister, Ms. Thredis Dennis and a brother, Mr. Ronald Scofield.

     She leaves to cherish her memories,, husband, Mr. Lucious Austin, three daughters, Ms. Wonda R. Cook, Ms. Michelle A. Giles and Ms. Mariolyn J. Roberts, sisters, Mr. & Mrs. Willie C. (Thomasina) Johnson, Ms. Carolyn Forte and Ms. Mariolyn Scofield, brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Christopher (Veronica) Scofield and Mr. & Mrs. Eddie (Shirley) Scofield,15 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, aunt, Ms. Mary Calhoun, uncle, Mr. & Mrs. Richard (Polly) Johnson, ten nieces, eight nephews and a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
