Today we pause to pay tribute and to celebrate our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, cousin, neighbor and  friend. Minnie Louise  Hendrix Lackey was born on  August 11, 1926 to the late Mr. Sandy Hendrix and Mrs. Adella Harper Hendrix.

      She was educated at Washington Street School in Covington, Georgia. Minnie Louise was baptized at an early age at Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Joel King and was active in the Bethlehem Church Choir.

       She  was United in Holy Matrimony to the late Mr. Lester Lackey, Sr. in the Leguinn Community.

     Minnie Louise will be remembered by cooking Sunday meals and feeding anyone who came by the Sandhill Community. Her favorite was Hen, Chicken and Dressing every Sunday.

     She departed this earthly life on Monday, November 18, 2013. She was preceded in death by, one sister, Elizabeth and two brothers, William and Fredrick.

     She  leaves to mourn, four children; Mr. & Mrs. Lester (Constance) Lackey Jr., Mr. & Mrs. Lawrence (Ruby Ann)  Lester, Mr. Vernon Ike Lackey and Mr. & Mrs. Darrell (Connie) Jones, grandchildren; Lyndy, Torrence, Tiffany, Tatashia, Terrica, Brandy, Tanishia, Demond, Tradarius, LaQuoya, Tyrell and Taliyah, a devoted adopted daughter, Mrs. Connie Sawyers, along with Terrance, Kedric, Kristy, nieces and nephews, Mrs. Goldie Dallas, Mrs. Frances Jackson, Mr. & Mrs. Forrest (Sharon)  Sawyer, Mr. & Mrs. Terry (Connie) Sawyer and Mr. Steve Sawyer, devoted friends; Mrs. Camilla Lackey, Mrs. Denise Myzeck  Mrs. Emogene Williams, Mrs. Mary Alice Henderson, Mrs. Mary Baker and Mrs. Helen Campbell and a host of other relatives and friends.
