Louise Thomason of Covington, passed away Aug. 24, 2014, at the age of 84. Ms. Thomason was an active member of New Life Praise Center, in Covington, and was a dedicated employee of Lithonia Lighting for 38 years. Following her work at Lithonia Lighting, she dedicated herself to caring for handicapped children. Ms. Thomason was a giving lady, and constantly gave of her time to help those less fortunate. She was loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Preceding her in death was her brother, Thomas McCord.
Survivors include her children, Sherrie Witcher, Bobby Thomason, Mike Thomason; grandchildren, Brad Witcher, Leisa Blackstock, Shannon Chavez, Candis Thomason, Crystal Allen, Kevin Thomason, Cody Thomason, Corey Thomason; great-grandchildren, Bay Witcher, Bowden Witcher, Addison Thomason, Braylen Thomason, Casey Blackstock, Cason Blackstock, Brittany Thomason, Alexis Allen, Bralyn Allen, Ashley Thomason; great-great-granddaughter, Soniah Wright; step-grandchildren, Eli Floyd, Jeremy Simmons, Brandon Simmons, Wade Witcher; step-great-grandchildren, Harlee Simmons, Caleb Simmons, Harley Witcher; sister, Jeanette Morrell; brother, Charles McCord; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral Services for Ms. Thomason will be held Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 2 p.m. at New Life Praise Center, 3144 Stone Mountain Street, in Covington, with Pastor Justin Adams, Pastor Kenneth Morrell and Pastor Jimmy Adams officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
