Obituary
On Friday, July 25, 2014, God called his daughter, Lavancy Henderson home to her rest. Lavancy was birn to the late Seals Benton and Ella Claude Benton on May 12, 1927 in Newton County, Georgia.
She attended Washington Street School and in 1945 she married Isaac Henderson, Sr., to this union six (6) children were born, Isaac, Jr., Janie, Jean, Thurman, Emerson and Rachel Elaine, who preceded her in death.
She joined Sims Chapel Baptist Church at an early age and after marriage, moved her Membership to Saint Paul A.M.E. Church, where she became a member of the Senior Choir. Primarily, she was a homemaker. In later years, she was employed with C.R. Bard Inc., Covington, Georgia until her retirement.
Loving Memories of Lavancy rest in the hearts of her children, Isaac, Jr., Janie H. Giles, Jean (Boykin) Edwards, Thurman and Emerson; grandchildren, Bridgitte Giles Lawrence, LaNedra Giles, Dr. Rachelle Edwards (Marcus) Biddles, Tonya Edwards, Shayna Henderson Clemmons, Brandy Branche; great grandchildren, Bryant, Lomonte', De'Mario, DeMecko, Branton, MarCiona, DeAnte, Cordric, Zion and McKenzie; sisters, Lucille Dunlap, Willie Kay Durden and Bettye Fallen, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
