Mrs. Kate C. King, age 94, of Covington passed away August 23, 2011.  She was born August 13, 1917 to the late Earl F. and Lena Green Cooper in Newton County Georgia.  Mrs. King was a member of Covington First Presbyterian Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Howard Lee King, her sisters Mrs. Ruby Nell Gross and Mrs. Lillian Prather and a brother Mr. Jack Cooper.  Mrs. King is survived by her Sister Mrs. Hilda C. Green of Atlanta, Close Friends Sue and Bill Hodges of Mansfield and many Nieces and Nephews. 

Graveside services for Mrs. King will be held at 11 O’clock Thursday, August 25, 2011 at the Social Circle City Cemetery with Reverend William B. Wade officiating.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring my make donations to Sewell United Methodist Church, 374 Highway 229 Social Circle, GA 30025 or to the Newton County Historical Society Brick Store Project, PO Box 2415, Covington, GA 30015.  J.
