Jeanette Barnes Jackson, age 92, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 under hospice care in Fayettevill, Georgia. She was born February 6, 1922 to the late Levie E. Barnes and Ruby Thompson Barnes.

Along with her parents Jeanette is preceded in death by her husband Joe P. Jackson and siblings Helen Barnes Hardman, Brice Barnes, Howard Lee Barnes, Virginia Barnes Guy and Joyce Barnes Sexton.

Jeanette is survived by her longtime caregiver and niece Debra Sexton, great niece Shannon Zerangue, sister Mildred Barnes Lord, close family friend Robert Mote and numerous nieces and nephews.

The visitation is Friday, June 13th from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson St. Newna, Georgia. The graveside service is Saturday, June 14 at 2 pm at Lawnwood Memorial Park in Covington, Georgia, with Rev. Mike Ayeres officiating.
