Helen J. Lummus of Meansville, GA died Tuesday December 1, 2009 at Spalding Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 6, 1926 in Porterdale, GA to Thomas C. and Willie Rollins Johnson. She was an active member of the Harvester Sunday School Class at Julia A. Porter United Methodist Church. Mrs. Lummus worked as a Court Clerk in the Newton County Superior Court for many years.
Mrs.Lummus is survived by her Son and Daughter-in-law: Bob and Nita Lummus of Zebulon, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law: Troy and Betty Johnson of Atlanta, GA, Coy and Jimmie Johnson of Cumming, GA; sister-in-law: Marjorie Johnson of Decatur, GA; grandchildren: Joshua and Brandy Hardy, Timothy and Jennifer Hardy, Andrew Lummus, Michael Lummus, Jeffery Lummus, Brandon Lummus, Kasey Lummus; and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father: Thomas C Johnson; mother: Willie Rollins Johnson; husband: Robert Anderson Lummus Sr.; brothers: Horace Johnson, Billie Johnson; and a grandchild: Christopher Lummus. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on December 3, 2009 at Julia A. Porter Memorial Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Moore officiating. Interment will be at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
