Helen Churchill age 68, of Mansfield passed away February 1, 2016.  She was born January 5, 1948 in Porterdale to the late Adel Jasper and Mary Ellen Boyd Underwood.  Mrs. Churchill was a lifelong resident of Newton County and enjoyed doing crafts, traveling when she could, fishing and loved her cat “Blackie”.  She was preceded in death by her brother; Ray Underwood. 

Mrs. Churchill is survived by her children; Cheryl Churchill (Brian) of Covington), Dianne Reynolds of Newborn and John Allen of Oxford.  She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and her brother; Adel Underwood along with a host of other family and friends. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Churchill will be held at 2 o’clock Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son with Reverend J. Clifton Brown officiating.  Interment will follow at Carmel Church Cemetery in Mansfield.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11am until 2pm Thursday prior to the service.  J.C.
