Mrs. Frances Juanita Allen, 80, of Covington died March 20 in Albany. Mrs. Allen was born in Henry County to the late Burley Bay and Mattie Ruth Lewis. She was the youngest of eight children and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and a wonderful cook. She was also a member of Salem United Methodist Church. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law Daryl and Sharon Allen.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years Morris Allen of Covington, son and daugher-in-law Kim and Susan Allen of Americus, grandchildren Kim Allen Jr., Kevin Allen, Cody Allen and Laura Allen, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Allen will be held 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 22 from the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Kanipe and the Rev. Carol Standard officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until funeral time on Sunday at the funeral home.
