Mrs. Faye “Granny Faye” Aiken age 73, of Covington, GA died Monday, February 15, 2010. She was born on August 12, 1936 in Butts County, GA to Levie Alvin and Maxie Elizabeth (McClure) Maddox. Mrs. Aiken was a member of Red Oak United Methodist Church where she taught preschool. Mrs. Aiken is survived by her husband: Mr. Don Aiken: son and daughter-in-law: Scott and Robin Aiken of Covington: grandchildren: Scott Aiken, Jr and Mitchell Aiken: great grandchild: Chandler Aiken; sisters: Gail Lindsey of Porterdale, Betty Shaw of Covington, Glenda Austin of Gretna, LA, Shirley Crawford of Porterdale and Sharon Maddox of Oxford; brothers: Lynwood Maddox of Tucker, David Maddox of Calhoun and Wayne Maddox of Porterdale; 34 nieces and nephews, other family and close friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Aiken will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Red Oak United Methodist Church with Reverend Miguel Velez and Mr. Lynwood Maddox officiating. Interment will be at Red Oak United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 17, 2010 from 6:00 until 8:00PM.
