Mrs. Charlotte A. Nichols age 74 of Covington died Thursday, April 5, 2012 at Dekalb Medical Center. She was born in Rome, Georgia on February 22, 1938 to Charles David and Frances Allen (Carlson) Wakeley. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was of the Baptist faith. She is preceded in death by her parents.
Mrs. Nichols is survived by her husband of 54 years: Joseph J. Nichols of Covington; sons and daughter-in-law: David Nichols, Frank and Wanda Nichols all of Covington; daughter: JoAnn Carroll and Johnny McCullough of Covington; grandchildren: Christy Phillips, Daniel Nichols, Brian Nichols, Christopher S. Carroll, Brandon D. Carroll; great grandchildren: Erin, Ariana, Kaleb, Ryley, Christian, Chelsea, Chase, Kaleigh and Katherine; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 9:00PM on Saturday, April 7, 2012. Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM, Monday, April 9, 2012 in the Chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home. Interment will be in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, Conyers, GA.
