         Mr. Tony Kenneth (Zook) Godfrey, the only child of Mr. & Mrs. Hibbler (Ruby Nell) Godfrey, Jr. was born February 8, 1956. Growing up in Oxford, Georgia he attended the Newton County School System and graduated from Newton County School with the class of 1974. He enlisted in the Army on May 16, 1975. He received several certificates for best Air Defense, Marksman, etc. He returned home from Germany with an Honorable Discharge, SP4 in 1978. He continued to further his education in Technical School, majoring in Electrical Tech. He used his electrical skills at Dekalb Water and Sewerage for 8 years.

        He was reunited with the love of his life, Ms. Eloise Sheats. They were married on April 15, 2001. They were the proud parents of three children and four grandchildren. He loved his father unconditionally. "Ken" or "Zook" as he was known by many was very loving and kind hearted.

     Tony departed this earthly life and entered into an everlasting life on November 20, 2014 at 1:25 p.m.

      He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Eloise Godfrey, a devoted father, Mr. Hibbler Godfrey, Jr., one daughter, Ms. Kimberly Lightfoot, two sons, Mr. & Mrs. Usher (Nikki) Jackson and Mr. Brandon Gibbs, four grandchildren, maternal grandmother, Mrs. Hattie Mae Johnson, three uncles, Mr. Ellis Godfrey, Mr. & Mrs. James (Marie) Johnson and Mr. John Johnson, one aunt, Ms. Alethia Thompson, one great aunt, Ms. Addie Harkness, one great uncle, Mr. Daniel Mathis, a devoted best friend, Mr. Charles Green, a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
