Mr. Ronald Dean Linder

Ronald Dean Linder, age 63, of Covington, died on August 7, 2014. Born in Columbia, SC on March 5, 1951, he was the son of the late Henry and Effie Linder. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cecile Linder. He was a long time employee of Michelin Tire in Covington, having worked there for 14 years this month.
Known to friends as Ron, to family he will always be our brother “Dean”. He will always be remembered as the life of the party, he was quite the character whom danced to the beat of a different drummer. As he himself noted he could laugh the loudest, cry the softest and sigh the deepest. We loved him so and will forever cherish our memories of him.

Per his request, we list the following: “For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun? And what is to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered? Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing. And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb. And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.”

Survivors include two brothers, Jerry (Katherine) Linder and Steve (Joanne) Linder; and one sister, Pam (Red) Ortega.

Lord and Stephens, East is in charge of arrangements.
