Obituary
Mr. Raleigh (Cud) Pitts was born in Newborn, Georgia on December 19, 1938 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Raleigh (Beulah) Pitts, Sr., also of Newborn, Georgia.
He attended the Newton County School System. Raleigh joined the Springfield Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He married Ms. Sally Howard in 1961, they had three children together. He retired from Lithonia Lighting after many years.
"Cud" was a gentle and quiet spirit. He always had a pleasant spirit and humble demeanor. "Cud's" all time favorite was working on cars. He would haul broken down cars and parts and stockpile every "fixable" part he could find. "Cud" never complained throughout his illness, God kept him.
Raleigh (Cud) departed this life on October 15, 2014. He was preceded in death by both his parents and two brothers, Harold and Charles Pitts.
He leaves to cherish his memories, two daughters, Rev. Kathryn Pitts Logan and Mr. & Mrs. Cedric (Cassandra) Sanders, two sons, Mr. David (Kim) Pitts and Mr. & Mrs. Tony (Michelle) Humphrey, four sisters, Mr. & Mrs. Willie S.
