Mr. Linton Gotell passed away April 6, 2013. He was born January 21, 1935 in Jasper County, Georgia to the late Ms. Tessie Williams and Mr. Eddie L. Gotell. He was the first born of five siblings; one preceded him in death, Mr. Richard Williams, Jr., one son-in-law, Mr. Charles E. Bridges, Sr.
Mr. Gotell was educated in the Jasper County School System. He accepted Christ at an early age and joined the Free for All Baptist Church inAtlanta,Georgia. On July 26, 1961 he was United in Holy Matrimony to Ms. Mildred Shy, to this union two children were born.
Mr. Gotell worked for many years for Big Apple Food Corporation, he continued his career with Roadway Express where he drove trucks for over twenty-five years, he acquired many awards for his time of service, he drove over one million miles. He retired in the year 2000.
He leaves to cherish his memories, wife, Mrs. Mildred Gotell, children, Ms. Thia U. Gotell, McDonough, Georgia, Ms. Felita M. Holt, Lithonia, Georgia, Ms. Carolyn Bridges, Atlanta, Georgia, Mr. Carl Shy, Stone Mountain, Georgia, four grandchildren, Ms. LaDonna Holt and Mr. Donald S. Holt, III, Lithonia, Georgia, Ms. Chenaka Bridges, Marietta, Georgia, Mr. Charles Bridges, Jr., Atlanta, Georgia, two great grandchildren, Nakiya A. Lowe and Sydnee C. Bridges, one brother, Mr. & Mrs. Henry (Wilma) Williams, Atlanta, Georgia, two sisters, Mr. & Mrs. Eugene (Maggie) Williams, Covington, Georgia and Mr. & Mrs. Ralph (Annette) Williams, Atlanta, Georgia, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 12:00 Noon at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church Newborn, Georgia
