Mr. John Howard Donald, 53, of Covington, GA passed away peacefully on February 6, 2012after a three year long battle with illness.  He was born January 7, 1959 to the late Jack Anthony Donald and his mother who survives him Dee Ann Howard Donald in Decatur, GA.  John worked as a senior consultant for the City of Atlanta for a number of years.  He was preceded in death by his father Jack Anthony Donald in 1989.

John is survived by his wife Catherine Theresa Donald(nee deViries); his son Joseph deVries Donald, his daughter Angela Christal Donald, his daughter Alexis Anna Dove and her husband Jason Dove and their children John’s granddaughters Annamarie Elizabeth Dove and Anastasia Rose Dove.  John is also survived by his mother Dee Ann Howard Donald, his brother Tony Donald and his wife Debbie, John’s nephew J.T. and his wife Chelsie, John’s sister Cindy Donald Smith and her husband Kenneth Smith, her son, John’s nephew Travis Donald Wade and his three daughters and their families. 

Funeral services for John will be held at 2 O’clock, Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the Chapel of J. C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until 2 O’clock prior to the service on Saturday.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family to assist the family with their needs.  J.C.
