GHEESLING Joe Bert Gheesling, Sr. of Oxford, GA died Wednesday February 24, 2010 at Merryvale Assisted Living. He was born on January 26, 1929 in Warrenton, GA to Frank and Ruth (Thompson) Gheesling. Mr. Gheelsing was a member of First Baptist Church in Covington. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law: Joe B. and Vicki Gheesling, Jr., of Gainesville, GA, Bruce and Kim Gheesling of Alpharetta, GA; son-in-law: Greg Jones of Covington, GA; brothers: Billy Gheesling, Al Gheesling, Leonard Gheesling; sister: Cornelia Courtney; grandchildren: Brandi Oliver, Brett Gheesling, Rob Jones, David Jones, Mandi Jones, Corey Gheesling, Megan Gheelsing; great grandchildren: Dylan Jones, Alex Jones, Isabella Gheesling, Bennett Oliver, Gray Oliver. He is preceded in death by wife: Margie Hamby Gheesling, daughter: Rita Jones, father: Frank Gheesling, mother: Ruth Thompson Gheesling, brother: Wilbur Gheesling and sister: Helen Gheesling. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on February 26, 2010 at First Baptist Church of Covington with Rev. Jason Dees and Rev. Perry Kirk officiating. Interment will be at Lithonia City Cemetery.
