Mr. Fred LD Rosser, 86, a life long resident of Newton County and surrounding areas died Thursday, September 17, 2009.  Mr. Rosser was born April 26, 1923 to the late Reggie and Nellie Smith Rosser in Newton County and was a member of Faith Tabernacle in Conyers.  He loved to ride his horse and rode until he was 80 years old.  Mr. Rosser was a home builder and built numerous homes in and around the Atlanta area. Over the years he taught and trained many men his trade.  He was preceded in death by a daughter Kathy Grace Howard and a son Johnwayne Rosser. He is survived by his wife: Mrs. Clyde J. Rosser: son and daughter-in-law: Buster and Elaine Rosser; daughter: Peggy Reynolds; daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Gene Peacock, all of Covington.  He is also survived by brothers and sisters and their spouses; Geneva Overby of Atlanta, Rev. James and Bobbi Cile Rosser of Cedartown, Ray and Pam Rosser of Conyers, Fay and Bobby Smith of Covington, Ollie and Sam Duke of Covington, Glenn Rosser of Conyers; 17 Grandchildren; 30 Great Grandchildren; 7 Great-Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other family and close friends. Funeral services for Mr. Rosser will be held at 3PM Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Faith Tabernacle, 631 Ralph Road, Conyers, Georgia with Reverend Jerry Patterson officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, September 18, 2009 from 4PM until 8PM and again at 1:30PM on Saturday and ending just prior to the service.  Interment will be at Lawnwood Memorial Park.  Friends may sign the online register book at www.wheelerfuneralhome.com.  Wheeler Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.770-786-7111.
