 Danny Reed Sr. was born July 10, 1952 to the late Mr. & Mrs. Charlie (Jeanette) Reed. *He was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie James Reed, mother-in-law Mary Louise Smith, brother-in law Ervin Johnson and nephew Timothy Reed. Danny departed this life on April 1, 2016.
     Danny resided in Covington, Georgia all his life. His passion was driving tractor trailers, which he was well known to his fellow truckers as "Cool Whip". Before retiring he worked for thirty-two years on the road. He worked daily in the yard, cutting grass, in the barn, going fishing or just sitting on the porch. He made sure he always had a garden to grow his vegetables. On a good day he would get on his motorcycle and let his hair blow in the wind. At an early age he joined Richards Chapel United Methodist Church, where he remained a member until his passing.
     He leaves to cherish his memories; wife, Mrs. Brenda Reed, one daughter, Mr. & Mrs. Michael (Sonya) Brown,  one son, Mr. Danny Reed, Jr., Oxford, Georgia, four grandchildren, Justin and Caden Brown, Morgan and Dallas Reed, Covington, Georgia, one brother, Mr.& Mrs. Charles (Patsy) Reed, Covington, Georgia, four sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Johnson, Stone Mountain, Georgia, Ms. Brenda Reed, Mr. & Mrs. Charles (Sarah) Smith, Mrs. Janice Thompson Reed, Conyers, Georgia, uncle, Mr. James Reed , aunt, Mrs. Annie Ruth Sims, both of Covington, Georgia one brother-in-law, Retired CMSgt. Douglas Smith, sister-in-law,  Mr. & Mrs. Charles (Teresa) Gilstrap, Covington, Georgia, special loved ones, Darrell and Darrien Williams, Angela, Courtney and Aniah Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
