Clarence H. Moon, 78, of Covington, Georgia, died Sunday, June 22 at his residence. Mr. Moon was born in Pierre, South Dakota, to the late Clarence A. and Margaret Lathrop Moon. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of fifty years Agueda Moon.
Mr. Moon served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was self-employed and loved fishing, treasure hunting with his metal detector, and had a fixation with Big Foot.
He is survived by a son, Stephen Michael Moon of Indianapolis, Indiana; a daughter, Agnes (David) Thrower of Jonesboro; granddaughters Kimberly (Jeromy) Jones of Covington, and Stefanie (Jose) Aponte of McDonough; a grandson, Kevin (Kelli) Faddis of Knoxville, Tennessee, and five great grandchildren, Jacquelynn, Alexander, Cristian, Adrianna, and Tristan.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, June 25 at Wheeler Funeral Home.
