On June 5, 1958 the Late Mr. Bennie Hope and Mrs. Emmie M. Howard were blessed with a son Mr. Bennie (Tank) Howard in Newton County. Bennie attended school in Jasper County, where he graduated in 1976.  He was the oldest of three children. Bennie joined Mt. Gilead Baptist Church on July 3, 2011.

   Bennie (Tank) was employed at Beaver Mfg and Nalley Chevrolet as a diesel Mechanic for many years he opened his own Trucking business under the name of Howard Hauling, his heart was with drag car racing, he also owned two or more cars; Kitt1 and Kitt2.

   On March 2, 2016 God called Bennie home. He was preceded in death by his aunt Eva Mae and uncle Hulon Howard Jr.

    He leaves to cherish his memories, two sisters; Mr. & Mrs. James (Diana) Gaither and Ms. Sandy A. Howard, Special friend Ms. Nancy Blackstock, god daughter, Ms. Atavia English, nephew, Mr. & Mrs. Antonio (Tanisha) Howard, two aunts, Ms. Nellie Pitts and Ms. Sallie Williams, one uncle Mr. & Mrs. Comer (Annette) Howard, one great Special Aunt Ms. Fannie L. Marks, close friend, Mr. Matthew Ford and many more and a host  of cousins other relatives and friends.
