Mr. Andrew Louis Bostick was born on August 1, 1925, in Covington, Georgia. He was the oldest of ten children born to Kink and Lillie M. Benton Bostick. Two children preceded him in death during infancy.
After confessing his faith in Christ at an early age, Mr. Bostick joined Wesley Chapel United Methoditst Church, Covington, Georgia, In april 1971, he was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Hazel Bostick.
Mr. Bostick was a hardworking and dedicated man who once worked on a local cattle farm and he retired from S.P. Richards Paper Company in 1990 after over thirty years of service. A faithful and dedicated member of Wesley Chapel, Mr. Bostick used his melodious bass voice to sing songs of praise in the church choir and he served as a Trustee and chaired the Finance Committee. While he was a faithful and dedicated member of Wesley Chapel, he was active at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Covington, Georgia, where his wife was a memeber. At Bethlehem he shared his melodious bass voice with the male choir and for many years was active in the church's summer feeding program that provided educational activities and meals to children who may have otherwise gone lacking. Until his health failed, Mr. Bostick was a member of the local M.L. King choir, formed in celebration of the MLK national holiday and he was active in the Mansfield Lodge #295.The Lord decided that he wanted to hear Mr. Bostick's melodious bass voice in his choir and called his servant home on Friday, December 25, 2015. Mr. Bostick was a well- respected man of God who will be dearly missed by all who knew him and he leaves to cherish his memory seven brothers and sisters; Mrs. Rosanna henderson, Mrs. Allonia Moon, Mr. & Mrs. Tully (Sadie) Bostick, Ms. Dorothy Bostick, Mrs. Kathryn Williams, Ms. Emma Bostick and Mrs. Margaret Wimberly and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
