Mitzi Selena Nelson Jennings, 36, of Gainesville, passed away peacefully Aug. 2. She was born in 1976 in Covington, the daughter of James Edward Nelson and Judy Louree McDaniel Montgomery. Mitzi graduated from Newton County High School in Covington with the class of 1995. Mrs. Jennings was a devoted wife to John Wescott Jennings. They were married in 2003 and have two daughters, Samantha Louree, 10, and Jade Alexis, 9.

Also surviving are sister, Maggie Mae Nelson Doyle, niece, Julia Alexis Doyle, nephew, David Andrew Doyle, grandmother, TreaseyMcDaniel Johnson and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services were held Aug. 6 at Trinity Worship Cemter. Interment followed at Sawnee View Gardens Cemetery.
