Minnetta Nelms of Covington passed away November 6, 2013, at the age of 78. Mrs. Nelms taught at Cousins Middle School for more than 30 years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and fishing. Mrs. Nelms loved her family dearly, and cherished her time with each of them.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Russell and Keely Nelms and Kevin Nelms; grandchildren, Justin Nelms, Jesse Nelms, Cameron Chambers, Keelyn Harper, and Ethan Harper, all of Covington; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Mrs. Nelms will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Shiloh United Methodist Cemetery, Covington. The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Friday prior to the service at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington.
