Mr. Michael Philip Zahn, age 48, of Covington passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013.  He was born November 6, 1964 in New York and moved to Marietta where he graduated from Walton High School.  Michael was well known in the Conyers and Covington areas.  The former owner of Bacchus at Club 908, in Conyers and Michael’s on the Square, in Covington. He currently owned The Sinful Dish a catering business that has served many families and business providing catering for wedding and corporate events throughout metro Atlanta.  Michael is a Mason and Shriner, with membership at Golden Fleece Masonic Lodge #6 in Covington.  

 

He is survived by his wife Melissa Zahn, his children Kendra Carter, Gynesis Carter, and Jason Carter and his three grandchildren that lived with Michael and Melissa; Chloe, Camry, and Gavin Beahan all of Covington.  Michael is also survived by his parents Benjamin and Barbara Zahn, his sister and brother-in-law Dana and Mark Childers all of Marietta along with numerous other family and close friends. 

 

Graveside services for Michael will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at New Covington Cemetery with Rabbi Barry Coffsky officiating.  Masonic rites will be conducted at graveside.  The family will receive friends at J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home from 6:00pm until 8:00pm on Monday, August 26, 2013.  J.C.
