Michael David Roberds, of Covington, passed away Sept. 19, 2013, at the age of 18.

Michael David was a loving son. He was a graduate of Alpha Omega High School in Covington, and he attended Eastridge Community Church and The Orchard Church in Loganville. Michael David enjoyed all types of fishing, jet skiing and loved all sports.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Kathryn "Katbird" and Mark Lord of Covington; father, Michael Roberds of Loganville; sisters, Candice Christy of Kennesaw, and Brittany Roberds of Richmond, Va.; brother, Michael C. Roberds of Athens; grandparents, David "Papa" and Lynn "Nanny" Mansfield of Stone Mountain, and Mildred Lord of Covington; girlfriend, Natalie "Natmac" Madaris, also of Covington; stepsister, Megan Freeman and her husband, Jon; stepbrother, Blake Lord and his wife, Mollie.

Funeral services for Michael David will be Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, with Pastor Scott Moore and the Rev. Ben Cathey officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Memorial Park.

The family received friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6-8 p.m.
