Mrs. Mary Plunkett of Covington died November 22, 2011 at the age of 76.   She was born in Acworth, GA, to the late Henry Grady and Pearl Lorine “Ray” Thomas and was the widow of the late Jimmy Elvin Plunkett. She retired from textile manufacturing after working for over 20 years in Fulton County.  Mary enjoyed playing Bingo. She enjoyed visiting with friends and loved spending time with her family.  Mary is preceded in death by her son, Earnest Lee Plunkett.

Mrs. Plunkett is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Henry Plunkett, Elvin and Debbie Plunkett, Jed Plunkett; daughters and sons-in-law, Edith and Johnny Norrell, Regina and David Figge, Judy Lantrip; 16 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Jean Wade, Hazel Howard, Faye Hensley; brother, James Thomas; several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service for Mary will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2011, 4:00 P.M. at Stewart Baptist Church Cemetery, Covington, with Pastor Wayne Rutherford officiating. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Road, Covington, on Friday, November 25, 2011 from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
