Mrs. Mary Lou Travis age 81 of Conyers, died Friday, December 23, 2011.  She was born in Walton County on March 8, 1930 to the late Leonard and Maybelle (Grant) Hayes. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Mr. James E. Travis.

Mrs. Travis is survived by her daughter and son-in-law: Barbara and Scott Shirley of Lithia Springs, GA; daughters: Wanda Rowland of Aiken, SC and Kathy Garrett of Covington, GA; son and daughter-in-law: Lanier and Laura Harcrow of Covington, GA; brother: Jerry Hayes; sisters: Betty Jean Hushour, Dianne Powell and Gail Nielsen; 15 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. Travis will be held in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home on Monday, December 26, 2011 at 2:00 PM with Rev.Sid Bailey officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on December 26, 2011 two hours prior to the service. Interment will be in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
