Mary Jackson Dollar, 88 of Roswell, GA was promoted to Church Triumphant Monday, April 4, 2016, at The Sonshine Manor in Dahlonega, where she had been a resident for the past 21 months.
Mary was a Georgia native, born in Mansfield in 1927, and a Roswell resident since 1970. She lived a long, full life and had survived breast and lung cancers. Mary attended Shorter College in Rome and graduated from Georgia State College. She was a Para-Legal at the District Council of the IRS for 20 years. She was a charter member of the North River Baptist Church.
Survivors include her three children, Luke Greene Dollar (Sue) of Marietta, Mary Beth Dollar of Roswell/Norcross, and David Lundy Dollar (Dari) of Atlanta; eight grandchildren, Matthew Kelly Dollar, Robert James Dollar, Bradley Taylor Dollar, William Andrew Grizzell, Jenna Elise Grizzell, Sydney Marie Dollar, Jackson Lundy Dollar and Danielle Annette Dollar and two great-grandchildren, Grayson Cooper Grizzell and Savannah Elizabeth Dollar. She was daughter of Robert Leon Jackson and Bessie Lundy Jackson, and had one brother Lundy Cooper Jackson, who died in action in WWII.
Memorial service will be Saturday, April 16, at 11 AM at the North River Baptist Church in Roswell with Rev. Steve Brown officiating.
