Mary Dorn Evans, 80, left for Heaven in the afternoon of March 8th. Her only son, Chris, was by her side. Mary was widowed fourteen years ago. She leaves behind Chris, her daughter-in-law Kimberly, beloved grandchildren Sarah Jan, John (also in Heaven), Andrew, and Deanna Rae. She is also survived by her sister, Louise Erskine of Anderson, SC, along with nieces and nephews, Celia Erskine Wilson, Michael Dorn and Mark Dorn. Mary was blessed with an abundance of precious friendships as a result of nearly 50 years as a resident of Newton County. She had a fun-loving spirit who was famous for her southern cooking.
A Graveside Service to celebrate Mary's life will be at Lawnwood Memorial Park, in Covington, Saturday, March 10th at 12:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, monetary gifts may be given to Passion Conferences with "John Evans Scholarship" in the memo line. Address is: P.O. Box 5, Roswell, GA 30077.
