Martha King Moody, 88, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2014, in Nixa, Montana. She was born in Covington and lived here much of her life. She was married for 61 years to Frank Moody, Jr., who preceded her in death in 2007. Mrs. Moody was a pastor's wife, and at various times, she had jobs as a secretary and substitute teacher. A member of a large family, she always enjoyed being with family members. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Covington.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Terrell Wingfield of Covington, her son and daughter-in-law, John and Teresa Moody of Hollister, Montana; sisters, Shirley Dial and Clarice Simons both of Covington; grandchildren, Kevin Wingfield of Baltimore, Maryland, Elizabeth O'Kelley of Gainesville, and Amanda Suarez of Yankton, South Dakota; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Graveside Service for Mrs. Moody will be held Saturday, Dec. 13 at 3 p.m., at the Covington City Cemetery with Dr. Cody McNutt and Rev. Tim Barnes officiating.
