Ms. Maria Olivia Eskew of Oxford, died April 4, 2011, at the age of 59.  She was employed by Atlanta Cutlery for 23 years.  She was a native of Decatur but had been a resident of Newton County for 38 years.  Ms. Eskew was a member of Living Waters Baptist Church and was an avid scrap booker.  She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

 

Ms. Eskew is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Randy Wise of Oxford, Sharon and Craig Parish of Jackson, Sandra (Sandie) and Ivan Lopez of Oxford, Carrie and Phil Parish of Covington; grandchildren, Amber Wise, Christopher Wise, Brianna Parish, Brandon Parish, Austin Slaton, Isaac Lopez, J.J. Parish, Heidi Parish; great-grandsons, Erik Pizano, Junior Alvarado; mother, Connie Corn of Oxford; and brother, Ricky Bailey of Tinsley Park, IL.

 

Funeral Services for Ms. Eskew will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 7, 2011, at the Floyd Street Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with Rev. Joe Brock officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Wednesday, April 6, 2011, from 6 - 9 P.M.
