Mrs. Linda Hollis, 68, of Covington, passed away on Dec. 29. Mrs. Hollis was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend to many. Her strong faith and love of the Lord kept her strong throughout her entire life. Her ministry encouraged and touched many in the community. She enjoyed puzzles, ceramics, quilting, gardening, crafts, and sewing. She also loved gospel music. Mrs. Hollis was preceded in death by her grandson William Todd Moss; parents Batson and Jessie Lee (Garrett) Goolsby; and brother Bob Willis.
Survivors include her loving husband of 50 years Kenneth Hollis of Covington; son and daughter-in-law Clay and Fran Hollis of Newnan; daughters and son-in-law Cathy Whiten of Sugar Hill and Leigh and Todd Moss of Covington; grandchildren Kristina Hollis, Aaron Hollis, Lauren Whiten, Lindsay Whiten, Savannah Moss and Gracie Moss.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, at Newborn United Methodist Church, 118 Church Street, in Newborn, with Pastor CeCe Nickolich officiating. In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Hollis wanted donations made to her church, Newborn UMC, in Newborn.
