Lemuel T. Anderson, 84 of Covington, passed away February 15, 2016. After retiring from AT&T, Mr. Anderson started building houses and then became a Charismatic Episcopal Priest at St. Andrews. He will be remembered as a man who loved his family dearly. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by Carolyn Evans Anderson, his wife of 64 years; and his parents, Willett Davis and Louise (Little) Anderson.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Greg Lancaster of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, Tom and Anita Anderson of Social Circle; grandchildren, Josh Anderson, Kaitie and Rob Clark, all of Decatur, Nick Anderson of Social Circle; and sister, Betty Jane Lee of Knoxville, Tennessee.
A Funeral Service for Mr. Anderson will be held Thursday, February 18, 2016, 7 p.m., at St. Andrews Charismatic Episcopal Church, 375 Old Oxford Road, in Covington with Father Kerry Wells and Deacon Tommy Stubbs officiating. Friends may join the family for visitation Thursday evening at the church, one hour prior to the service, from 6 – 7 p.m. Interment will take place Monday, February 22, 4 p.m., in Highland Memorial Park, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee. The family will receive friends at the Highland Memorial Park Chapel one hour prior to interment, from 3 – 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Andrews Charismatic Episcopal Church.
