Larry John Marchesseau, 67, died in a car accident on Lower River Road on Aug. 5. He was a resident of Newton County since 1978, where he enjoyed all his outdoor activities from hunting to primitive camping. Each day was an adventure in nature, where he truly lived each day to the fullest. Larry was an active member of the White Water Men, Blue Ridge Mountain Men, The National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association, Griffin Longrifles and Traditional Bowhunters of Georgia. He held a Masters in Business Administration from Georgia State and retired from the DOT after 34 years of service. Larry was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Lawrence Marchesseau of Atlanta.

Survivors include his beloved bride Jeannine Marchesseau, son Michael Marchesseau, step-daughter Kirsten Cohoon, sister Mary Ann Moore, grandchildren Chase and Lainey Marchesseau, and many more extended family members.

A celebration of his life was held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, at his home pasture. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to TreeGivers Association (http://www.treegivers.com).
