Mrs. LaFaton Wilkerson Veal, 86, of Covington, Ga. died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Riverside Health Care.  Born on December 26, 1922 in Henry Co., Ga. she was the daughter of the late Walter P. (Sam) Wilkerson and Georgia Cawthon Wilkerson.  Mrs. Veal was retired from Oxford Manufacturing after 25 years as a seamstress, and was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church.  She was preceded in death by her husband Billie Veal, sons Mike Veal, and Sam Veal.  She is survived by her children Billie and Jim Hardy of Conyers, Janie Garner of Stone Mountain, Ann and Dwight Collins of Snellville, Madalyn Elliott of McDonough; brother Jimmy Wilkerson of McDonough; daughter-in-law Marsha Veal of Topeka Kansas; 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral service for Mrs. Veal will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday August 15, 2009 at Bethany Presbyterian Church with Rev. Russell McKee officiating.  Interment will follow in the Bethany Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
