Kelvin was born to the parents of Lee Pearl Govan and Rosie Sneed. Kelvin was the oldest son of two boys. His brother, Roderick Govan preceded him in death in 1991. God called Kelvin home May 12, 2016 during the middle of the day at his job. For those that were blessed to know Kelvin, they knew he loved working at his job. Thank God, he did not suffer. God called him right away and he ascended to heaven. Kelvin attended John Muir Junior High and Freemont High School in Los Angles, California. In Kelvin's late 20's he relocated to Covington, Georgia and has lived here for twenty years.
Since his relocation to the State Of Georgia , he worked at the following companies: Pactiv in Covington, Geogia, Biolab in Conyers, Georgia and PCA of America Warehouse in Lithonia, Georgia.
Kelvin hobbies were relaxing, watching movies, grilling out, dancing, cooking, cleaning and keeping his clothes ironed and creased. In addition to those activities, he loved to text and talk to his friends and cousins on the phone and on social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram. Kelvin was a unique man and many family and friends would say, he is one of a kind! To many, he was known as "Kelvin", to others, he as known as "Lil Boobie", or " Boobie" and still others may know him as "L.A.": but whatever you may call or know him as, he was genuine in spirit.
Kelvin leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memories: his mother, Rosie Sneed, Covington, Georgia, His sons: Kelvin Govan, Jr., Las Vegas, Nevada, Dee Govan, Covington, Georgia, daughter, Aaliyah Govan, Las Vegas, Nevada, two grandchildren, Krislyan Govan and Trislyan Govan, Los Angles, California, siblings: Brother: Chet Govan, California Sister: Tamara Govan, California, brother Lance Barber, Florida, Sister Ursula, California, nephews, Roderick Govan and Rodney Govan, Los Angles California and lastly, Kelvin had a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends all in California, Las Vegas, Nevada, Georgia and Mississippi.
