Kathy Jane Gardner, 66, of Covington; resident since March 2003, passed away at her home, Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2017. She was employed at C. R. Bard for 25 years in Computer Operations, and for 10 years prior, employed by Coca-Cola USA. Mrs. Gardner served in the United States Army. Her hobbies included latch hook embroidery, word games and shopping. Kathy had a giving heart, especially to children at Christmas. She loved traveling. Kathy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and a friend to many. She will be deeply missed.

Kathy was born in Fort Benning, GA to the late Richard Aloysius and Marilyn Sparks Grabowenski, also preceded in death by her brother Richard Aloysius Grabowenski, Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Anthony R. Gardner, of Covington; her daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Marshall Radtke, of Marietta; her grandchildren, Kristen and Evan Goddard, of Covington, Trevor Nix of Forsyth and Stephanie Nix, of Forsyth; great-grandson, Dylan Bryant, of Covington; sisters and brother-in-law, Diane and Mike Copper, of Palm Springs, California, and Cheryl Kuhnert, of St. Johns, Oregon; along with nieces and spouse Kristi and Mitch Stone, of Prineville, Oregon and Wendy Cooper of Portland, Oregon.
