Kathy Coker Passarella, 56, of Buckhead, Ga., passed away on March 21, 2014 at her home surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 29, 1957, to the late Charles Franklin and Gertrude Jean Pier Coker. She grew up in the south and was a graduate of Chamblee High School. And on September 29, 1979 she married Louis Joseph Passarella, Jr.. Together they were long time residents of Covington, Ga. before moving to Buckhead, Ga. in the spring of 2006. She was a homemaker who raised her three girls. Kathy enjoyed gardening, the companionship of her pets and filling the lives of her grandchildren with love. Married on the first day of fall many years ago, she passed away peacefully on the first day of spring 2014.
In addition to her husband of thirty-four years, Louis Joseph Passarella, Jr., she is survived by three daughters, Dayna Passarella Petersen (Ryan) of Orlando, FL, Lisa Passarella Smith of Covington, Ga. and Laura Passarella Ewing (Brad) of Conyers, Ga.; a sister, Caren Greene (Jim) of Oxford, Ga.; two brothers, Keith Coker of Bogart, Ga. and Steven Coker (Jennifer) of Dacula, Ga.; four grandchildren, Eli Smith, Joseph Smith, Ella Petersen and Breck Petersen; and a number of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dave Coker.
A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held March 29th at 3pm at the Passarella home in Buckhead at 1041 White Oak Way Buckhead, GA 30625.
