Joyce Smith passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at DeKalb Medical Center, at the age of 78. Joyce was born in Charleston, West Virginia to the late Malcolm and Alma Harrison. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles E. Smith; brother, Ronnie Moore; sisters, Clarice Plymale, Patricia Stinnet; sisters-in-law, Betty Elliott and Mary Ann Beauseau.

Joyce was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, crocheting and was an avid reader. She looked forward to the kids from church coming to visit. She loved working with her husband at Statewide Management Company for more than 34 years. Joyce will be sorely missed.

She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Green; son Young and Kung Hea Lee; grandsons Jayson and Amanda Green, Chris Green, Christopher Lee of Houston, Douglas Lee of Houston; brothers- and sisters-in-law Garland “Chic” Plymale, Jack and Louise Smith, Bob and Lilith Smith, Don and Joyce Smith, Ron and Carolyn Harvey, Rick and Sandy Smith, Rose and Ed England, Beverly and Dave Khun; niece and nephews Shari Vangundy, Richard Plymale, Mark and Marilyn Foster, Stephen Foster and many more.
