Mrs. Joann Bellew Restivo of Covington died on April 19, 2010 at Walton Regional Hospital at the age of 77. She was born in Princeton, Georgia to the late G. Gordon and Lula Mae Talley Bellew on January 14, 1933, and was a resident of Newton County since 1979. Mrs. Restivo enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, and loved to bake cakes, especially wedding cakes. She always was very good at what ever she wanted to do. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of Love Joy United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Arthur Bellew and Doyle B. (Buddy) Bellew. Mrs. Restivo is survived by her loving husband of nearly 54 years, Marion P. Restivo, III; sons and daughter-in-law, Marion P. IV and Holly Restivo, John Gordon Restivo all of Covington; grandchildren, Anthony Michael and Traci Restivo, Amanda Michelle and Joel Reyes, John Garrick Restivo, Linda May and Chad Myers, Ellen and Phillip Chaffee, Mark Beam; 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Restivo will be held on Friday, April 23, 2010, 2:00 P. M. at the Floyd Street Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan with Rev. Richard Gravitt officiating and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the Floyd Street location on Thursday, April 22, 2010 from 6:00 until 9:00 P.M.
