Joan Riser, of Conyers, GA, died January 6, 2010, at Rockdale Hospital. She was born January 4, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. Joan loved to read good books and poetry, when she wasn’t watching her beloved Atlanta Braves. She was a friend to every hungry stray cat. Mrs. Riser was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Martin Riser, Sr. and son, Joseph Martin Riser, Jr. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Alexander Wallace, and Gae and Robert Bové, all of Brooklyn, New York; three grandchildren, Jane Wallace Walker, Katharine Wallace, and Alexander M. Luke Wallace; two great-grandchildren, Caroline and Ryan. A private burial will be held at Honey Creek Woodlands, in Conyers, GA.
