Jimmy Compton, 70, of Loganville, passed away Sept. 25. Mr. Compton was a member of Corinth Christian Church, U.S. Army veteran and retired from Lithonia Lighting with 35 years service.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Laverne Thomas Compton; daughters and sons-in-law Anita and Randy Reagan, Loganville, Janet and James Williams, Loganville; son and daughter-in-law Tommy and Christy Compton, Oxford; brothers Donald and Wayne Compton, both of Loganville; sister Anna Dashner; sister and brother-in-law Sally and Tony Corbitt, all from Loganville; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services were held Sept. 28 at Corinth Christian Church with Minister Don Hardison and Minster Lester Waters officiating. Burial followed at Corinth Memorial Gardens, Loganville.
