Jared S. Chambers of Covington, passed away January 25, 2012, at the age of 28. Jared was a very private person, but was a good friend who was always helping others and would go the extra mile to do so. His family would describe him as a "free-will child", who did his own thinking, and did things his own way. He enjoyed being in the outdoors, loved children, and enjoyed spending time with his first love, his dog, Boady. Jared had a very close group of friends, who along with his family, will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Ozie Chambers.
Survivors include his parents, Barbara and Jeff Minor of Covington, Donnie and Joan Chambers of Social Circle; sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and J.B. Dial, niece, Ryleigh Elizabeth Dial, of Dublin; brother, Cody Minor of Covington; his dog, Boady; sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Dave Abernathy, niece, Sara Grace Abernathy and nephew, Bennett Abernathy, of Jackson, TN; grandparents, Gerald and Jean Stitt of Roanoke, AL, James and Reita Minor of Warner Robins; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral Services for Jared were held Saturday, January 28, 2012, 2:00 PM, at First Baptist Church, in Covington, with Pastor Jason Dees officiating, and interment followed in Lawnwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chase Cain Memorial Foundation, 8 Laurie Lane, Covington, GA 30016.
