On May 13, 1930 Mr. & Mrs. Ben (Mattie) Thomas was blesssed with a son, Mr. James Richardson "J.T". Thomas. James was preceded in death by eight siblings.
At an early age he joined Macedonia Baptist Church. He was a faithful Deacon and sung in the Male Chorus.
"James" was raised in Newton County. He was employed with the City of Covington and Bio Lab Inc. He was a self taught Master Barber and Hair Stylist for many years. He was a very friendly person that never met a stranger.
He was the widower of Ann Williams Thomas. He leaves to cherish his memories, children; Mr. Hubert Thomas, Mr. & Mrs. Tommy ( Mary) Griffin, Ms. Gwendolyn McMullen (Ronnie), Ms. Linda Thomas (Wiley), Mr. Cyrus R. F. Thomas, San Jose, California, Ms. Marlow Manuel, Ms. Bonnie Cooper and Mr. & Mrs. James V. (Denise) Thomas, stepchildren; Mr. & Mrs. Rico (Tomika) Williams, Mr. & Mrs. Felix (Michelle) Williams and Mr. Neal Williams. eighteen grandchildren, thirty-three great grandchildren, a host of sisters and brothers -in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
