Mr. James Henry King, 68, of Newborn, passed away on Oct. 19.

He worked for Crystal Farms for 25 years. Mr. King loved gardening, hunting and being outside. He loved his family and was a very loving father and husband. He also loved his grandchildren dearly. Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents Jesse Victor and Vinnie Mae (Plott) King; sister Christine Griggs; and brothers Holmes Brown King, Clifford King, June King.

Survivors include his wife Wanda King of Newborn; daughter and son-in-law Theresa and Marty Smallwood of Mansfield; son and daughter-in-law Jason and Michelle King of Lafayette, Tenn.; grandchildren Blake and Tyler Smallwood, Hannah and Ryan King; sister Donnie Lee of Powder Springs; brother Leon King of Morganton; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. King were held Oct. 22, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home in Covington, with Rev. Jeff Thomas officiating and interment followed in Newborn Cemetery, in Newborn.

The family received friends at the funeral home Sunday, Oct. 21.
