James Douglas Ivey, 55, of Oxford, passed away Nov. 3. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend to many. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and gardening. Mr. Ivey also enjoyed photography and traveling, especially to the mountains. 

Survivors include his loving wife, Connie Ivey; daughters, Amy Lynn Ivey and Lesley Jean Ivey; son, and daughter-in-law, Brian and Wendy Waldroup, all of Oxford; parents, James Hubert and Frances Eugenia Ivey of Loganville; step-grandchildren, Kayla, Anthony, Brendan; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and W. L. Quinton of Loganville; several nieces and nephews; work family, Avery Edge, Mark Zbinden, Rose Harris, and the entire Dart family.

Funeral services for Mr. Ivey were held Nov. 5 in the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with Pastor Derik Lawrence officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. Visit www.caldwellandcowan.com to place online condolences.
