Mr. James A. "Jimmy" Pennington, 69, of Covington, died Nov. 11. The son of the late James Anderson Pennington and Mary Guest Pennington, he was born in 1939 in Fulton County. He worked for the Jasper County Maintenance Department. Mr. Pennington was a member of Zion Baptist Church and enjoyed working on his farm, fishing and hunting.

Surviving are brothers Graham Pennington of Covington, Howard Pennington of Conyers; sister Rose Mary Stephenson of Conyers; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held at noon Nov. 13 in the chapel of Wheeler Funeral Home with the Rev. Sidney Bailey officiating. Interment will be at a later date in Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Riverside Health Care, 5100 West St., Covington, Ga. 30014.
